Email AG Fitch - Ask to join Texas Election Lawsuit
DECEMBER 9, 2020 - UPDATE!
In less than 24 hours citizens of Mississippi sent Attorney General Lynn Fitch and Governor Reeves over 700 emails asking that Mississippi join the Texas lawsuit!
At 11:30 am today AG Lynn Fitch released this statement:
The Mississippi Freedom Caucus wants to thank our Attorney General and our Governor for fighting to ensure the integrity of our elections.
On Monday, December 7 the State of Texas filed a lawsuit with the US Supreme Court claiming Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts or through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures.
The Mississippi Freedom Caucus is asking Mississippi Attorney General to join with the State of Texas in a lawsuit.
Attorney General Lynn Fitch,
On Monday, December 7 the state of Texas filed a lawsuit with the US Supreme Court arguing that Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin violated the Electors Clause of the Constitution because they made changes to voting rules and procedures through the courts through executive actions, but not through the state legislatures.
Because these states violated US Law and the laws of their states, the people of Mississippi stand to be disenfranchised from their rightful position to participate in a fair election for the President of the United States. It is imperative that every state follow the law and ensure their elections are fair.
I ask you to join with Texas in this fight to ensure the election for President is above reproach and that the votes cast by the people of Mississippi are given their proper weight and importance.
Please complete the form below and your name will be added and an email automatically sent to AG Fitch.
