Williamson - Military Update
Many of you may not be aware that, in addition to being a husband, father, business owner, and your representative in the Mississippi Legislature, I am also a proud member of the Mississippi Army National Guard.
A couple of weeks ago, I was deployed to participate in a critical role protecting the people of Mississippi and our nation. I am proud of the military of which I have served for more than 15 years. My military service has taken me to many places, including 2 tours in the Middle East. But even when it takes me halfway around the world, I never forget my other important roles.
The role that affects you as a resident of Mississippi House District 10 is my job as your representative in the Mississippi Legislature. I want to assure you that I am still ready, willing, and able to address any needs you have as my constituent. I can answer your phone voicemails, emails, or messages through WhatsApp or Signal. I've even found that I have more time to address your needs without the distraction of business and everyday life at home. I have also been allowed to conference call into meetings that take place in Jackson and have found that I have no problem staying abreast of issues that arise as we prepare for the 2023 legislative session. Until we can meet again in person, the means above will work just fine.
As your state representative and as vice-chairman of the Mississippi Freedom Caucus, I am still working to find ways to reduce government's overreach into your personal life, your family and your business while supporting the government's core functions.
I will be returning to Mississippi in time for the 2023 Legislative Session to fulfill my duty as your representative in the Mississippi legislature, where I have one of the most conservative voting records of the 122 representatives.
It is an honor to serve you as an officer in the military and as your representative in the state government.
